Na brzeskiej pływalni odbyły się Mistrzostwa Powiatu Brzeskiego w Pływaniu Indywidualnym i Drużynowym. Wydarzenie obejmowało rywalizację w ramach Igrzysk Dzieci, Igrzysk Młodzieży Szkolnej oraz Licealiady. Młodych sportowców do udziału w zawodach zaprosiły Brzeski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji, Urząd Miejski w Brzesku oraz Starostwo Powiatowe w Brzesku. Nad prawidłowym i zgodnym z przepisami przebiegiem wszystkich konkurencji czuwali sędziowie Marcin Gromadzki i Marek Bochenek.
W kategorii Igrzysk Dzieci uczniowie startowali na dwóch dystansach: 25 oraz 50 metrów stylem klasycznym, grzbietowym lub dowolnym. Drużyny rywalizowały natomiast w sztafecie 6 x 25 metrów stylem dowolnym.
Starsi uczniowie, startujący w Igrzyskach Młodzieży Szkolnej oraz Licealiadzie, mierzyli się na dystansie 50 metrów. Podobnie jak w młodszej kategorii, dopuszczalne były style klasyczny, grzbietowy oraz dowolny. W obu kategoriach odbyły się również wyścigi sztafetowe na dystansie 6 x 50 metrów. Sportowe zmagania miały charakter eliminacji, ponieważ stawką był awans do kolejnego szczebla rozgrywek.
Zgodnie z regulaminem, prawo startu w finałach wojewódzkich wywalczyło po dwoje najlepszych zawodników i dwie najlepsze zawodniczki w każdej z kategorii indywidualnych.
